Preschool education describes the education of children prior to the age when they are deemed prepared for formal group schooling; i.e., kindergarten or first grade in elementary school. Preschool is generally considered appropriate for children three- to Preschool Education
Until 2002, preschool education was under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Social Affairs. In 2003 it became an integral part of the education system where it naturally belongs. The New Law on Preschool Education is prepared under which the last pre-school year becomes the compulsory or the 0 grade in the reformed education system.
