Last Updated Oct 5, 2008 01:19 PM

On 23 March 2001, Dr Kemp and Senator Vanstone announced the release of the OECD Thematic Review of Early Childhood Education and Care Policy: Australian Background Report.

The Australian Background Report was commissioned by the Australian Government to provide an overview of early childhood education and care in Australia. Twelve countries around the world have participated in the review, which is designed to provide decision makers with information and analysis to aid in developing policy in the area of early childhood education and care.
