Child Psychology

Child psychology is the science of studying the development of mind and body of children. The contents of child psychology include the common phenomenon of psychological development or the behavior characteristics of children, describing the time of occurrence and change in the psychological phenomenon or behavior characteristics of children, and the explanation for the cause of psychological phenomenon or behavior of children.

Child psychology assists child educators in grasping the basic knowledge of regularity and features of psychological development in children. It also helps child educators understand how to study the psychology of children. With this knowledge in mind, one can know better the behavior of children. Hence it can cultivate the interests and the devotion to the children such that those who in that area would be happy to dedicate themselves to the work of child education and facilitate the children to grow healthily and happily.

It therefore can be said that the child psychology is one of the important and basic disciplines of child education. The child psychology has both the ethical values and the importance to be put in practice. It is the very fundamental knowledge for child educator to have and good at.
